Issues and Solutions

Issue: I have two diskettes, but only one was used during the installation. What did I do wrong?

Solution: Nothing. At the beginning of the installation you were asked to choose Works or Word or some combination. If you only chose one, then you may have only used one diskette. Some grades require both regardless of what you choose.

Issue: How do I locate my template files?

Solution: When the files installed they should have been placed in a folder called ILP, unless you changed the name of the directory. Open your Word or Works program, go to FILE, OPEN, and then open the ILP directory. Choose the folder for the desired grade level, and then the desired platform folder.

Issue: I am having printing problems.

Solution: The files that have been installed are simply template files. If they are not printing in the desired way, then you will probably need to make some adjustments to your page layout settings. Contact your word processor company (such as Microsoft) for help with those settings.

Issue: Will the ClarisWorks templates work with ClarisWorks 2.x or 3.0?

Solution: The ClarisWorks template files on the ILP Sampler disk are supplied in version 4.0. If you use ClarisWorks version 2.0, 2.1, or 3.0, you'll need to convert the files before you can open them. If you don't have a converter, then GET IT here.
