SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Windows:

·         486 DX/66 MHz processor (Pentium processor recommended)

·         Windows 95/98: 12 MB RAM, or 16 MB with Active Desktop; Windows NT: 6 MB RAM, or 14 MB with Active Desktop; Windows 3.1: 12 MB RAM

·         2x CD-ROM Drive

·         VGA monitor: 256 colors, 640x480 resolution

·         100 % Microsoft compatible mouse

·         Keyboard

·         8 MB free hard drive space for Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0, if not already installed on your computer

·         This program requires that Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 and QuickTime be installed on your computer.  Both programs are included on the CD-ROM. 

 

MAC:

·         680/30 processor or better

·         Macintosh OS 7.1 or better

·         8 MB RAM with Virtual Memory on (12 MB recommended)

·         2x CD-ROM Drive

·         VGA monitor: 256 colors

·         Mouse

·         Keyboard

·         8 MB free hard drive space for Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0, if not already installed on your computer.

·         This program requires that Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 be installed on your computer.  This program is included on the CD-ROM.

INSTALLATION TIPS:

 

Windows 3.1/95/98/NT:

1.       Insert the Literature Classics CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

2.       Double-click the My Computer icon.

3.       Double-click on the CD-ROM drive icon.

4.       Double-click on the Acrobat folder, and then open the folder for your platform (Win95, for Windows 95/98/NT, or win31 for Windows 3.1).

5.       Double-click ar32e301 to start the installation for Windows 95/98, ar16e301 for Windows 3.1.

6.       Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

7.       Open the QuickTime folder, then open the folder for your platform (Win95 for Windows 95/98/NT, or win31 for Windows 3.1)

8.       Double-click QT32INST.EXE to start the installation for Windows 95/98/NT, or QTINSTAL.EXE for Windows 3.1.

9.       Follow the on-screen instructions for complete the installation.

 

Macintosh:

1.      Insert the Literature Classics CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

2.      Double-click on the CD-ROM icon.

3.      Open the Acrobat folder, and then open the MAC folder.

4.      Double-click Reader 3.02 Installer.1 to start the installation.

5.      Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS:

 

Issue:  Is there a User’s Guide for this program?

 

Solution:  The User’s Guide is on the CD in .PDF format.  If you open the CD, double-click on the Content folder, and double-click on the HS_UG.PDF the User’s Guide will open in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Issue:  How do you start this program?

 

Solution:  Windows 3.1/95/98/NT:  Double-click on the CD-ROM icon, double-click on WINstart.pdf.

Macintosh:  Double-click on the CD-ROM icon, double click on MACstart.pdf *.

(*Note: for Mac G3, Mac LC 520, Performa 6115, and Power Mac 7100 systems, double-click SYSstart.pdf.)

Issue:  Will this program run on Windows 2000 and/or Windows ME?

 

Solution:  Cursory testing for this program has been done on both platforms, no problems noted.

Our customer base uses a wide variety of operating systems and applications and our software must be developed to be used on some lower end systems to meet our customer needs.  Because of this, we cannot guarantee that our software will always work as expected as new operating systems and other applications are developed.  We encourage you to give our products a 'test drive' on any new system you plan to implement.  If you are not satisfied with the performance of our products, we will do our best to deliver a compatible product to you in a timely manner or refund your money.
